About Me
I’m Balveer Singh (UGC-NET qualified), a research scholar at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (SAIDE), IIT Ropar. My research focuses on combining AI, Computer Vision, and Robotics to develop practical solutions for agriculture and environment perception.
My master’s thesis, “YDM-SLAM,” enhanced ORB-SLAM3 by integrating YOLOv8, achieving a 78% improvement in dynamic mapping efficiency. I also interned at IIT Bombay, where I worked on machine learning-powered tools for digitizing Indian languages.
With a background in mechatronics, embedded systems, and real-time perception, I aspire to develop intelligent robotic systems that make a real-world impact.

Projects
I have experience of working with both software and hardware projects.
